Ruth Briles Tedder

Ruth Gallimore Briles Tedder, 93, of Asheboro, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, with Dr. Keith Hudson officiating. A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mrs. Tedder was born August 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Wall Gallimore. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church where she served on several church committees, and a member of the Eastview Garden Club. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tedder was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Dalton Briles, her second husband, Phillip Raymond Tedder, her son, Charles Samuel Briles, and her siblings, Burley Gallimore, Virginia Vestal, Garland Gallimore, Carol Ledwell, and Harold Gallimore. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Briles Blue, and husband, R. Leighton Blue, Jr., of Fayetteville, NC; step-daughters, Phyllis Lawson, Peggy Cox, Faye Byrd, all of Asheboro; step-son, Darrell Tedder, of Asheboro; brothers, Ralph Gallimore, of Trinity, Jimmy Gallimore, of Asheville; grandchildren, Roscoe L. Blue, III, Caroline Briles Blue, Leanna Briles Giles; nine step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Roscoe L. Blue, IV, William Finley Blanton, Wyatt Blue Blanton, Mary Chandler Giles; and several step great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Oakhurst Baptist Church, 2225 S.
