Ruth Bray Spencer

Ruth Bray Spencer, age 88, of 1019 Shamrock Road, Asheboro, died Friday, July 9, 2010, at her home. Graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Randolph Memorial Park with the Rev. Russell Chrisco officiating. Born on October 25, 1921, in Chatham County, Mrs. Spencer was the daughter of the late Melvin and Emma White Bray. She was retired from Stuart Furniture and was a member of Cedar Falls Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Spencer. Surviving are her daughter, Judy Spencer Bell and husband, Blake, of Asheboro; son, Wayne Spencer and wife, Beverly, of Troy; sister, Lucy Lee Cagle, of Denton; grandchildren, Cliff Spencer, of Cary, Crystal M. Coldiron and husband, Charles, of the home, Amber Bray, of Asheboro, Adam Bray and wife, Sheree, of Winston-Salem; and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday, July 10, 2010, and other times at the home.
