Ruth Ann Kinney

Ruth Ann Kinney, 76, of Asheboro, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Mt. Tabor Community Church with Rev. Stephen Stowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born July 18, 1941 in Randolph County, Mrs. Kinney was the daughter of the late Joseph and Iva Kindley. She graduated from Farmer High School in 1959 and retired from Klaussner Furniture. Mrs. Kinney was a member of Mt. Tabor Community Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don and Harold Kinley. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Montel (David) of Liberty; son, Randall Kinney (Lynda) of Franklinton; sisters, Helen Shelley of Thomasville and Rebecca "Becky" Lanier (Jeff) of Denton; brothers, Larry Kinley (Barbara), Stephen Kinley, all of Trinity, James Kinley (Neta), Winfred Kinley, all of Denton; grandchildren, Douglas Calhoun, Jonathan Kinney, Christopher Montel (Amy), Elizabeth Montel; great-grandson, Ethan Montel; and four step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Community Church, 1269 Mt.
