Ruth Kilby

Ruth Bell Brownlow Kilby, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2017, after battling a long illness. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Mountlawn Memorial Park, North Wilkesboro with Rev. Jon Shook officiating. Ruth was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. George Brownlow of Winston-Salem. She was married to the late Tommy Marshall Kilby of North Wilkesboro. Mrs. Kilby lived the majority of her adult life in the Atlanta, GA area, where she retired from Emory University Hospital as a nursing assistant. She lived the latter part of her life in Cornelius and then Asheboro. She is survived by her son, Keith Kilby and wife, Brenda of Asheboro, their children, Lauren Earnhardt (Daniel), Keith Kilby, Jr. (Nicci), Meagan Staley (Scott), Lindsey Brown (Zach), her other son, Steve Kilby and wife, Jackie of Franklinville, and their children, Katie Pegram (Nathan), Elisabeth Kilby and John Kilby. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
