Ruth Ingold

Ruth Ellen Brady Ingold, 94, of Sophia, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021, peacefully at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Larry Stines officiating. The service will be live streamed on Ridge Funeral Home's official Facebook page. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born January 26, 1927, in Randolph Co., NC, Mrs. Ingold was the daughter of the late Alpheus and Wanda Brady. She loved playing bingo, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed her special mix of snuff and loved her Chihuahuas. Ruth loved attending Fellowship Baptist Church and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wayland Ingold; son and daughter in law, Danny and Lequita Ingold; grandson, Daniel Ingold; daughter, Linda Routh; and son, Mike Ingold. Mrs. Ingold is survived by her son-in-law Gurney Routh and wife Jean; daughter-in-law, Angie Ingold; grandchildren, Lynn Routh and wife, Shannon, Brian Ingold and wife, Wendy, Jimmy Routh, Lisa Kearns and husband Greg, Mark Ingold, Jodi Skeen and husband, Tyler; great grandchildren, Camryn Kearns, Hunter Routh, Peyton Routh, Marissa Ingold, Justin Kearns, Brynna Skeen, Tyler Kearns, and Holden Skeen. Mrs. Ingold will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2021, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home.
