Ruth Auman Brim

Mrs. Annie Ruth Auman Brim, 91, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Huldah Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Shirlen and the Rev. Wayne Vuncannon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Hoke County, NC, Mrs. Brim was born October 17, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Roe Auman and Minnie Mae Freeman Auman. She was retired from Ram Tie in Ramseur and she worked for Cross Road Rest and Retirement Center after her retirement. She was a member of Huldah Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brim was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Brim, her children, Eugene Brim, Bobbi Jean Brim, Lewis Brim, her grandson, Dustin Brim, her sisters, Frances Voncannon, Beulah Hartsell, Louise Clodfelter, and her brothers, Garland Auman and James Auman. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and "Nanny" to many of her grandchildren to whom she helped raise. Mrs. Brim is survived by her daughters, Diane Thornburg and husband, Pete, of Asheboro, NC, Janet Murchison and husband, Lynn, of Julian, NC; son, Larry Brim and wife, Niki, of Port Orange, FL; sister, Clara Holt, of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Donald Auman and wife, Hilda, of Rockingham, NC, Charles Auman and wife, Janet, of Jackson Springs, NC, Carl Auman and wife, Grace, of Winston-Salem, NC; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Deidre Teague, 3997 Happy Hollow Road, Asheboro.
