Anna Ruth Lineberry Adams, 79, of Thomasville, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Hospice Home at High Point.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at Mountain View Church of Asheboro, with Rev. Clint Kearns officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ruth was born on June 13, 1945, in Randolph County, the daughter of the late Ivey Edward Lineberry and Edna Louise Luck Lineberry. She loved cooking, canning and gardening. She attended Pleasant Hill Church. Ruth raised her children and after they were grown, she was proud to also raise Bryan, Derek, and Alisha with love and care. She was always happy, high spirited, and upbeat. Plants and birds brought her joy during her time in the nursing home. Ruth loved reading her bible and completed it several times. She kept her family in church and church was a big part of her life.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Ricky Adams; daughter, Ruth Ann Kearns; son, Billy Kearns; brothers, Wayne, David, Eddie, and Ray Lineberry.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Kearns, Crystal Dawn Ponce; sisters, Dianne Westmoreland, Edith Kearns, Carol Scott (Barry); grandchildren, Bryan Kearns (Holly), Derek Kearns (J.D.), Alisha Kearns, Cody Kearns, Chris Ponce (Natalie) and several great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home.
