Russell Brown

Russell Eugene Brown, 76, of Seagrove, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016, at New Center Christian Church with Rev. Melvin Morton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Brown was born June 27, 1939 to Cora Alma Brown and James Williamson. He was retired from Randolph County Schools and was a member of New Center Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Brown; brother, James Henry; and son, Mikel Brown. Mr. Brown is survived by his son, Randy Brown of Seagrove; grandchildren, Casey Brown, Shawn Reeder, Jessica Muncy and husband, Luke, Charlie Reeder; and great-grandchildren, Julian, Grayson, Jack, Aubree, Cheyene, William. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
