Ruby Pierce

Ruby Mae Cain Pierce, 89, of Asheboro, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at Siler City Center in Siler City. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kari L. Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born February 5, 1928 in Randolph County, Mrs. Pierce was the daughter of the late Aldy and Cladie Cain. She was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church and she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Pierce; brother, Paul Cain; sisters, Geneva Hammer, Hazel Gardner and Jeanette Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Pierce Vuncanon and husband, Tim of Raleigh; son, Richard Pierce and Teresa Morton of Asheboro; sister, Roberta Baxter and husband, Billy of Ramseur; brother-in-law, Cecil Gardner of Ramseur; sisters-in-law, Ina Mae Hill and husband, J.D., Francis Tesh; grandchildren, Azure Rudd and husband, Seth, Josh Vuncanon, Amanda Pierce and Michael Yow, Hannah Poston and husband, David, Daniel Pierce and wife, Mary, T.J. Anderson, Josh Anderson and wife, Rhona, April Anderson and Paul Walker; and great-grandchildren, Rylie Poston, Madeline Poston, Eli Poston, Sadie Poston, Kennedy Pierce, Braxton Walker, Caleb Anderson, Kaylah Anderson, and Dylan Anderson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
