Ruby Lemons

Ruby E. Saunders Lemons, 80, of Randleman, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Henderson and Rev. Frank Ramos officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Lemons was born to Robert and Eva Saunders on December 20, 1937. She was vice-president of the senior class of 1956 at Asheboro High School. Mrs. Lemons attended Asheboro Business College and then worked at Acme McCrary until her retirement. She was also a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her fur babies, her dog for many years, "Bucky" and her 11 rescued kitties. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Fred Lemons; her pride and joy, her granddaughter, Jill Glass; in-laws, Giles and Jamie Lemons; brothers-in-law, David Pugh, Willie Smith and Howard Seabolt. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia McMasters and husband, Tracey of Randleman; granddaughter, April McCormick and husband, Mark of Asheboro; great-granddaughters, Abby Snow and husband, Will and Rebecca McCormick; great-great-grandchlidren, Lilegh, Brookes and Weslee, all of Asheboro. She is also survived by her sisters, Louise Pugh of Lexington and Barbara Smith of Randleman; sister-in-law, Betty Seabolt of Ramseur; and brother, Merle Lemons and wife, Peggy of Winston-Salem. The family would like to especially thank all the friends and family that gave special care to Ruby. Also the staff at The Randolph Hospice House for taking such good care of her and the family. You will be forever in our hearts.
