Ruby Kenyon

Ruby Rilla Brothers Kenyon, 95, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Mt. Tabor Community Church with Rev. Brian Covert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born March 30, 1921 in Alamance County, Mrs. Kenyon was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret Brothers. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Tabor Community Church. Mrs. Kenyon and her late husband of 67 years, Rev. Archie Thomas Kenyon Sr., did missionary and evangelistic work in the U.S., Mexico and South America. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kenyon was preceded in death by her son, David Kenyon; and her daughter-in-law, Ruth Kenyon. Mrs. Kenyon is survived by her daughters, Faye K. Black and husband, Robert, Edna K. Hill and husband, Tommy, all of Asheboro; sons, Tommy Kenyon and Joyce, Gary Kenyon and wife, Carolyn, and Tim Kenyon, all of Asheboro; sisters, Betty Vestal and Margaret Windham, both of Burlington; daughter-in-law, Tammy Kenyon of Asheboro; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 a.m., Saturday, prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
