Roy Bullins

Roy Odell Bullins, 93, of Asheboro, NC, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 19, 2015 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2015, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, NC, with Rev. Jim Perryman officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born January 1, 1922, in Stokes Co., NC, Mr. Bullins was the son of the late Jonie and Dell Duggins Bullins. He had worked at Acme-McCrary and later was the owner of Sea King Fish Camp. He was a charter member of Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church where he had served as secretary and treasurer. He was very active in the church until his health declined. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. Mr. Bullins had served in the US Army and was a decorated veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bullins was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 49 years, Susan Bullins. Mr. Bullins is survived by his daughters, Winona Pierce and Russell Lee, of Asheboro, NC, Darlene Bullins and Brian Bonanno, of Somerset, NJ; sons, Terry Bullins, of Pleasant Garden, NC, Steve Bullins and wife, Dorothy, of Goldsboro, NC; sister, Mozelle McKinney, of Randleman, NC; brother, Clyde Bullins, of Franklinville, NC; grandchildren, Shawn Steed, Ashley Holt, Michael Holt; great-grandchild, Aolani Holt; his special friend Mildred Tonkins, and special friend Betty Wilson, who provided care and friendship for the last 10 years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to The Randolph Hospice House, P.O.
