Roxy Beard

Roxy Jane Swaney Trogdon Beard, 58, of Ramseur, NC, died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the home of her son, Justin Trogdon, in Trinity. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, NC, with Pastor Jeff Looney officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. Mrs. Beard was born May 18, 1956, in Randolph County, NC. She had worked doing mill work with Kayser Roth and Stedman Corp., and later as a care giver for the mentally handicapped. Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her father, Claude Edward Swaney, Jr., her brother, Claude Jeffery Swaney, and her grandparents, Bessie and Claude Swaney, Sr., and Thelma and Lonnie Marion. Survivors include her husband, Robert Earl Beard, of the home; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Ray Beard, of Ramseur; son, Justin Travis Trogdon, of Trinity; stepsons, Bobby Trogdon, Jr., of Denton, Robert Earl Beard, II, of Lillington, NC; mother, Nancy Jane Marion Swaney; sister, Emily Joy Swaney Auman and husband, Kevin, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Cade Le Bow, Ty Trogdon, Bryce Trogdon; step-grandchildren, Austin Creech, Zachary Creech, Shelby Trogdon, and Brittany Trogdon. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, and other times at the home of her sister, Emily Auman, 241 Worth Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
