Rose Mary Engel

Mrs. Rose Mary Linton Engel, 63, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, February 22, 2013, at her residence. A memorial service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, Steven Tompkins officiating. A native of Van Wert County, OH, Mrs. Engel was born May 5, 1949. She had worked for Walmart for several years. Mrs. Engel was preceded in death by her husband, David Engel, her brother, Kenneth Linton, and her sister, Vicky Linton. Mrs. Engel is survived by her parents, Lewis and Betty Linton, of Van Wert, OH; husband, Larry Murphy; daughters, Michelle Tompkins, Elizabeth Gray, both of Asheboro, NC; son, Phillip Engel, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Brittney Tompkins, Steven Tompkins, Cayce Tompkins, Elizabeth Engel, Karoline Engel, Thomas Gray, Natalie Engel, Robert Gray, Nicholas Engel; great grandchildren, Aliya Davis and Makinna McLean. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Ridge Funeral Home.
