Rosa "Betty" Toledo

Rosa Aminta Ascencio Toledo, 68, of Greensboro, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Sunset Avenue Church of God, Asheboro, with Pastor Jose Leo Melara and Pastor Boyd Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens.

Betty was born in El Salvador on January 30, 1958, and had worked at Klaussner for many years and was later retired by her children. She was known as a great cook, especially for her Salvadorian dishes, quesadillas and budin. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, but above all else, was her devotion to God.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Teresa Ascencio Portillo.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gudiel Toledo; children, Emanuel Toledo, Perla Lopez (Moses), Gudy Toledo; father, Miguel Ascencio; siblings, Elsie Ascencio, Ana Ruth Kim, Susy Ascencio, David Ascencio; Iris Faz; grandchildren, Daphne Lopez, Jonathan Lopez, Miguel Lopez, Tyler Toledo, Geramyah Lopez, Zacharie Toledo, Stryker Toledo, Katana Toledo, Bryson Lopez, Mason Lopez, Lucie Toledo; great grandchild, Levi Lopez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who she loved deeply.

The family will receive friends fro 9:45 - 10:45 a.m., Thursday, at Sunset Avenue Church of God, prior to the funeral service.
