Rosa Ann Crowder Butler, 78, of Asheboro, died Friday, September 17, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Asheboro Friends Meeting, Asheboro, with Pastor Donna Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Born in Randolph County, NC, on May 16, 1943, Rosa Ann was the daughter of the late Chester Curtis Crowder, Jr. and Annie Simmons Crowder. She was retired from the Randolph County Health Department. Rosa Ann was an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jarrod Butler and brother, Perry Little. Surviving are her husband, Charles Gilbert Butler; children, Jerome Butler (Cynthia), Randall Butler (Sonji), Gilbert "Gil" Butler, Jr. (Jaynetta), Maurice Butler, Felicia "Lisa" Butler, Annette Butler, all of Asheboro; sisters, Chester Earlene "Peanut" Pulley of St. Louis, MO, Defonda Little of Asheboro, Cassandra "Cissy" Buie (Jay) of Gastonia; brothers, Ronald Little (Nicole) of Asheboro, Charles Hilton Elliott (Casey) of Charlotte; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
