Roland Junior Kidd

Roland Junior Kidd, 64, of Asheboro, died Saturday, January 17, 2015. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Deep River Baptist Church Cemetery in Ramseur, with Pastor Sam Talley officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Kidd was born in Randolph County, NC on June 8, 1950. He was employed with Hughes Furniture and was an accomplished artist and woodworker. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Mr. Kidd was preceded in death by his father, Roland B. Kidd and his brother, Calvin Dean Kidd. Surviving are daughters, Sherri Anne Kidd, of Asheboro, Donna Renee Kidd, of Colbern, VA; son, James Calvin Kidd, of Asheboro; mother, Mary Louise Carter Kidd, of Asheboro; sisters, Brenda Kidd Stovall, of Siler City, Virginia Kidd Rich, of Asheboro; brother, Roger Eugene Kidd, of Asheboro; and ten grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro.
