Roland Hinesley

Mr. James Roland Hinesley, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Mountain Vista Health Park, Denton, NC. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. Harold Hammond officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Lee County, NC, Mr. Hinesley was born February 10, 1924. He was the son of the late William Ernest Hinesley and Texie Viola Pierce Hinesley. He had worked at Vick Brother Electric for 23 years and JRA Industries and was a member of Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hinesley was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry McMahan, his brother, Billy Gene Hinesley, and his grandson, Kevin Hamilton Floyd. Mr. Hinesley served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Hinesley is survived by his wife of 70 years, Pearl Hinesley, of the home; daughter, Pat Auman and husband, Gary, of Seagrove, NC; brothers, Ernest Hinesley and wife, Estelle, of Asheboro, NC, Leroy Hinesley and wife, Betty, of Denton, NC; grandson, Danny Floyd and wife, Lisa, of Asheboro, NC; granddaughters, Denise Kern, of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Gonzales and husband, Oscar, of Morrisville, NC, Amber Horne and husband, Brandon, of Raleigh, NC; step granddaughter, Amber Flecher and husband, Brad, of Fuquay-Varina, NC; great grandchildren, Ashley Floyd and Dakota Floyd, of Asheboro, NC, Cori Floyd and Kamrin Floyd, of Denton, NC; step great granddaughter, Madison Flecher, of Fuquay-Varina, NC; fishing buddy, W G. "Bub"� Pierce and wife, Hazel, of Sophia, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Vista Health Park, Patient Assistance Fund, P.O. Box 1547, Denton, NC 27239.
