Roger Joseph Woodell

Roger Joseph Woodell, 80, of Asheboro, died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro. A private service was held. Born in Randolph Co., on September 24, 1938, Roger was the son of the late Carl Stevens Woodell and Ollie Lena Nance Woodell. He was retired from Black & Decker, and was a graduate of Ramseur High School. Mr. Woodell was also a great family man, a very faithful Christian, and always helped in anyway he could. Mr. Woodell was a member of Sandy Creek Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Billy Stevens Woodell. Surviving are his niece, Sheila Hill and husband Donny of Asheboro. The family would like to express their appreciation and ask that memorials be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
