Roger Elbert Wilson, 61, of Asheboro, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Mike Thompson officiating. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Wilson was born January 30, 1955. He retired from AVS after 36 years of service. He loved watching TV westerns and movies. He was preceded in death by his father, William Herbert Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Lynette Edwards Wilson of the home; son, Brad Wilson of Asheboro; daughters, Stephanie Jeffcoat and husband, Chris, of West Columbia, SC, Jessica Skinner of Raleigh; mother, Vera Wilson of Asheboro; sister, Kathy Hornaday and husband, Terry, of Trinity; brothers, Bill Wilson of Hickory, Doug Wilson and wife, Elizabeth, of Seagrove; and grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Harper Jeffcoat and Noah Jeffcoat. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to The Randolph County Hospice House, PO Box 9, Asheboro 27204.
