Roger Cox

Roger Eugene Cox, 77, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born October 18, 1940 in Randolph County, Mr. Cox was the son of the late Ted and Annie Coble Cox. He was raised in Central Falls and graduated from Grays Chapel. Mr. Cox was a member of Worthville Baptist Church and was retired from Energizer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Allred Cox. Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Cox Reekes and husband, Rick of Sophia; sons, Steve Cox and companion,Sonya Davis of Burlington, Curtis Cox and wife, Niki of Asheboro; grandchildren, Alecia Cowan, Brooke Cox, Cheyanne Cox; step grandsons, Jonathan Reekes and Joshua Reekes; and great-granddaughter, Jaelyn Cowan. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Worthville Baptist Church, 1053 Castlerock Rd., Randleman, NC 27317.
