Roger "Topper" Causey

Roger Dale "Topper" Causey, 62, of Randleman, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Holder officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Topper was born in Asheboro, NC on July 11, 1954 to Donald Calvin Causey and Nellie Causey. He was employed with Cox's Transportation where he and his wife were long distance truck drivers for the last 15 years. He served in the US Army for 4 years. Topper was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Robert Cagle. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Angela Cagle Causey, of the home; daughters, Melissa Causey of Thomasville, Starla Causey (Timmy Perdue) of Randleman; sons, Roger Shawn Causey (Jessie) of Christiansburg, VA, Donald Calvin Causey, of the home; sister, Donette Honeycutt (Harvey) of Sophia; brothers, Gene Causey (Diane) of Randleman; grandchildren, Celeste, Mykel, MacKenzie, Maddie, Kendra "MiMi - Mal mal", Camdon "Lil Buddy"; and mother-in-law, Marie Cagle of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
