Roberta Mae Goins Rich

Mrs. Roberta Mae Goins Rich, 69, of Sophia, NC, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Rich was born May 22, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Edward Goins and Florence Mae Snider Goins. She was retired from Kayser-Roth and attended Faith Temple Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Goins. Mrs. Rich is survived by her husband, Harvey Rich, of the home; sister, Brenda Goins Lamb, and husband, Mitchell, of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Kenneth Wayne Goins, and wife, Faye, of Asheboro, NC, Tony E. Goins, and wife, Susan, of Asheboro, NC, Perry C. Goins, and wife, Lola, of Asheboro, NC and special canine companion, Bandit. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church.
