Robert "Bob" Widholm, Jr.

Robert "Bob" Henry Widholm, Jr., 95, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Mr. Widholm ashes will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Bob was born on May 14, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN, to the late Robert Widholm and Dorothy Wolfram Widholm. He retired from Widholm Trucking, a long time family business. Mr. Widholm proudly served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He liked traveling in the U.S. collecting truck memorabilia, singing in the church choir, and being with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marvel Eull Widholm. Bob is survived by his wife, Lynda deFriess Widholm; daughter, Sherrill Lindvall (Dave); son, Mark Widholm (Jill); stepchildren, Fred deFriess (Donna), Donna deFriess Elkins (Steve), Robert deFriess, Jim deFriess (Terri); brother, Richard Widholm; and several grand and great grandchildren.
