Robert Leslie Surratt

Robert Leslie Surratt, 73, of Asheboro, passed away after a lengthy stay at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, on Thursday, May 14, 2020. Robert was born on September 10, 1946, in Randolph County. He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation, where he worked for over 20 years. He enjoyed gardening and collecting classic cars. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lloyd Surratt and his mother, Lula Mae Hammond Surratt. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Kathy Hunt Surratt, and his brother, Gary Surratt and wife Norma of Asheboro. Due to restrictions for group gatherings, a private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 19 2020, at Oaklawn Cemetery, with Pastor Jerry Johnson officiating.
