Robert Shaw

Robert Lee Shaw, 78, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016, at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Routh and Rev. Bill Beane officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born December 25, 1937 in Randolph County, Mr. Shaw was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Shaw. He retired from Rampon Products in 1995. Mr. Shaw was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Ray Shaw. Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife, Betty Wilson Shaw of the home; son, Danny Lee Shaw and wife, Patty of Asheboro; brother, William Tillman Shaw and companion, Betty of Asheboro; grandsons, Joseph Adam Shaw and wife, Bobbie Jo of Seagrove, Daniel Lee Shaw of Asheboro; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Leigh Shaw and Benjamin Landon Shaw. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
