Robert Dale Howell

Robert "Bob" Dale Howell, 86, of High Point, formerly of Asheboro, died Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Meridian Center in High Point. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Back Creek Friends Meeting with Rev. Jon Reece officiating. Born in Stanly County, NC, on March 9, 1932, Mr. Howell was the son of the late Richard Thomas Howell, Sr. and Betty Earnhardt Howell Purser. He was a retired school teacher with Asheboro City School System. In addition to his parents, Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Thomas Howell, Jr. and Rex Vernon Howell, and close friend and caregiver for several years, Mark A. Pierce. He is survived by his first cousin, Conley Howell and wife, Phyllis, of Albemarle, and their children, Dean Howell and wife, Katie and son, Noah, of Randleman, Rhonda Tinney and husband, Al, and daughter, Grace, of Alabama; and caregivers, Tony and Cindy Pierce, of Asheboro.
