Robert Lee Clark

Mr. Robert Lee Clark, Sr., 70, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, May 30, 2011, at Maple Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard McNeill officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens. A native of New Hanover County, NC, Mr. Clark was born October 15, 1940. He was the son of the late Joseph Cary Clark and Edith Lois Moore Clark. He was raised in Rockingham, NC. Mr. Clark was the owner and operator of Clark's Janitorial Service and he attended Maple Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, deep sea fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Clark served in the US Army during Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Patricia J. Clark, of the home; daughters, Dena Cox, of Asheboro, Kaye Guinn, of Jamestown, Leslie Timmler, of Asheboro; son, Robert Lee Clark, Jr. and wife Christy, of Asheboro; sisters, Brenda C. Goins and husband, Larry of Rockingham, Ada McLaughlin and husband, Frank of Effingham, SC; brother, J.C. "Buster" Shepherd, of East Rockingham, grandchildren, Christopher Clark, Marion Schofell, Jonathan Lewis, Joseph Hayes, Jasmine Cox, Michael Primm, Chandra Clark, Kisha Clark, great grandchildren, Justice Clark, Nicole Clark, Caeson Clark, Braelyn Hicks, and Noah Jennings. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be to Maple Springs Baptist Church, P.O.
