Robert Junior Carter

Mr. Robert Junior Carter, 76, of Randleman, NC, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Woodland Hills Care & Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scotty Daniels and Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Carter was born May 18, 1937. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Carter and Lucy Elizabeth Owens Carter. He was a former route manager for Merita, store manager at Asheboro Concrete Products and later worked at Hedgecock Building Supply. Mr. Carter served in the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Carter, brothers, Bruce Carter, Folger Carter, and sisters, Shirley Boyd and Lucille Stevens. Mr. Carter is survived by son, Lee Carter and wife, Teresa, of Randleman, NC; sisters, Alphia Routh, Helen Allred and husband, Jesse, all of Franklinville, NC; brothers, Albrey Carter and wife, Cloe, of Randleman, NC, George Carter and wife, Rachel, of Ramseur, NC, James Carter and wife, Mary, of Thomasville, NC; grandchildren, Warren Sibbett and wife, Brittany, Brooke Carter, Zachary Carter; great grandchildren, Weston Sibbett and Grayson Sibbett. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, November 22, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
