Rita M. Boyer

Rita M. Boyer, 83, of Seagrove, died January 7, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. A devoted wife and mother, Rita retired from Black & Decker in Asheboro. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Junie Smith of Camp Creek, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl Smith and Charles Smith; sisters, Juanita Miller, Helen Smith, and Anna Louise West. She is survived by her husband, Gary Boyer of Seagrove, NC; daughter, Kay Hale of Defiance, OH; son, Ernie Marksberry and wife, Miriam of Fort Wayne, IN; stepson, Lawton Boyer and wife, Leona of Pomona, KS; stepdaughter, Lisa Boyer of Olathe, KS; and numerous grandchildren.
