Richard G. Kennedy

Richard Gilbert Kennedy, 73, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at his residence. Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, at Richland Baptist Church, Asheboro, with Rev. Thomas Smith and Rev. Todd Daniel officiating. A native of Montgomery Co., NC, Mr. Kennedy was born January 12, 1941, the son of the late Welcome and Annie Grey Kennedy. He was retired from Asheboro Garage Door. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Linda G. Kennedy, of the home; daughter, Karen Lynn Catalani, of New London, NC; sons, Richard Darrell Kennedy, Phillip Brian Kennedy, both of Asheboro, NC; sister, Jane Kennedy Sanders, of Troy, NC; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
