Richard S. Hurley

Richard Stuart Hurley, 74, of Asheboro, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Eller officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born June 13, 1941, Mr. Hurley was the son of the late Randall and Ruby Hurley. He was an avid golfer and Nascar fan, especially of the late Dale Earnhardt. Mr. Hurley enjoyed working with his many friends at Klaussner Furniture. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart. His daughter was a constant source of joy and he was very proud of his son-in-law. His wife was the best thing that ever happenend to him. Mr. Hurley is survived by his wife, Gail P. Hurley of the home; daughter, Amy Pope and husband, Jay of Randleman; and grandchildren, Raley Pope and Gannon Pope. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
