Richard Henry Gibbs

Mr. Richard Henry Gibbs, 66, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Ulah Church of God with Rev. Alex Shelton officiating. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mr. Gibbs was born February 7, 1947. He was the son of the late John Henry Gibbs and Bertie Evelyn Kent Gibbs. He attended Ulah Church of God. He loved fishing, working in the garden and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dewey Lee Gibbs, and sister, Linda Davis. Mr. Gibbs is survived by sister, Betty Callicutt, husband Mike, of Cedar Falls, NC, Judy Lucas and husband, Terry, of Asheboro, Brenda Pascal, of Randleman; nieces, Teresa Givins, Kristy Vasquez, Pat Bralley, Jolene Gross; and nephew, Ray Edwards. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Ulah Church of God. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ulah Church of God, 4640 US Hwy 220 Bus.
