Ressie Britt Moore

Mrs. Theressa Rosamond Britt "Ressie" Moore, 99, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edwin Moore and Rev. Doug Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery in Robbins. A native of Moore County, NC, Mrs. Moore was born January 6, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Sidney Albert Britt and Mary Lourinda Britt. She was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, unit #22 of Asheboro where she served as commander for six terms. She was a woman of strong faith and loved her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, James Curtis Moore, and her sons, James Albert "J.A." Moore and Ronald Gregory Moore. Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughter, Betty Jean Byrom, of Bowling Green, OH; son, Larry Curtis Moore, of Asheboro, NC; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, November 29, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
