Reggie Paul Bunting, 71, of Asheboro passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 148 Drum St., Asheboro. Reggie was a native of Asheboro. He was retired from Klaussner Furniture and a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by wife, Deborah Markwood Bunting; parents, Reggie Hicks and Susan Eller Bunting; brothers, Wally Bunting and Larry Bunting; sisters, Linda Bunting and Barbara Maness and husband Nolan; brothers-in-law, Greg Williams and Harry Markwood; and son-in-law, Alan Newton. Survivors are daughters, Tabitha Ownsbey and husband Fred, Lori Haithcox and husband Keith and Lisa Newton; sisters, Shelby Byrd and husband Maxton and Brenda Williams; brother, Jerry Bunting and wife Brenda; sisters-in-law, Betty Bunting, Dora Mae Clodfelter and husband Larry and Patsy Markwood; brother-in-law, Buddy Markwood; grandchildren, Joseph Ownsbey, Chase Ownsbey, Robert Ownsbey, Riley Newton and a baby grandson on the way; and granddog, Ruger. He was a loving father and fun paw-paw. He always went out of his way for others. He will be greatly missed.
