Rebecca Darnell Hill Brown, 75, of Asheboro, died Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jim Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born on March, 28, 1944, in Randolph Co., Darnell was the daughter to the late William Ritzel Hill and Mildred Alice Hill Dailey. She was well known by many, working in the restaurant industry at Eckerd Drug with her friend Carol West, Midtown Restaurant with her sister Bertha, and Hops with both of her daughters and retired from Spurs. She was a loving and selfless wife, mother, mother-in-law, and Mawmaw to her grandchildren which she adored along with her special baby boy, "Oscar". She was a life long Dale Earnhardt fan, and loved family trips to the beach and going fishing. Darnell loved Thanksgiving Family Oyster Roast, eating seafood and Chinese every chance she could. She loved her daughter's fresh eggs for breakfast which her husband of 54 years prepared for her daily. In addition to her parents, Darnell was also preceded in death by her sister, Bertha Bowman and brother-in-law, Jimmy Allred. Surviving are her husband, Charles Bruce Brown of the home; daughters, Lorrie Brown Lowe and husband Page of Farmer, Becky Brown Hayes and husband Jeff of Ramseur; sister, Susan Allred of Carolina Beach; brothers, Wilbur Hill and wife Doris of Asheboro, Timothy Hill and Jennifer of Asheboro; and grandchildren, Jordan Lowe, Kaleb Hayes, and Allison Hayes. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
