Ralph Dove

Ralph Glenn Dove, 97, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, September 3 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear DE. Mr. Dove had served in World War II and was retired from Phoenix Steel in Claymont, DE, after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, his family and his home. He was always there when he was needed with a smile on his face and a joke to be told. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Virgie Mae Dove, his parents, Bessie and Ernest Dove, two sisters, and six brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Weed, of Asheboro, Sandra Davidson, of Sophia; son, Dennis Dove, of Newark, DE; friend of many years, Willie Roaka of Newark, DE; grandchildren, Christopher Dove, of Newark, DE, Steven Mounce, Bradley Davidson, both of Sophia, NC, Tara Barnes, of High Point, NC, Shirley Ann Brown, of NC, Dennis Flynn, Larry Flynn, both of DE; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
