Ralph F. Davis

Mr. Ralph Farrell Davis, 81, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:30 pm Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A private burial will be held. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Davis was born September 25, 1931. He was the son of the late Lacy Arthur Davis and Ila Hancock Davis. He worked for 42 years as HR Manager for Ramtex, was an active member of Balfour Baptist Church, a Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 521, and a member of the Lion's Club. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Davis. Mr. Davis served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bobbie J. Davis, of the home; daughter, Julie Davis Brown and husband, Steve, of Asheville, NC; son, Ralph "Dave"� Davis, Jr., and wife, Kim, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Myrna Jean Kinsey, of Greensboro, NC, Dolores Lee Miller and husband, Johnny, of Asheboro, NC, Elaine Ragsdale and husband, Louis, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Lacey Michelle Davis, Jackson Alexander Davis; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Balfour Baptist Church, 1642 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
