Rachel Honeycutt Powell

Rachel Louise Honeycutt Powell, 71, of Asheboro, died Monday, April 13, 2020 at Carolina Pines at Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Powell was born June 24, 1948, the daughter of the late Odell and Edna Honeycutt. She had worked at Food Lion at Oakie Mountain in Asheboro and as a greeter at Walmart in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, R.G. Powell, and brother, Marvin Honeycutt. Survivors include her brother, Harvey Lee Honeycutt and wife Donnette, of Sophia, NC; nieces, Teresa Honeycutt Rush of Randleman, Keisha Honeycutt Brady and husband Ricky of Randleman; and several nieces and nephews.
