Phillip Dean Presnell, 73, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021, at New Hope Memorial Gardens with Rev. Arnold Luther officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Phillip was born on October 31, 1947, in Randolph Co., to the late Charles "Charlie" Presnell and Mary Hancock Presnell. He retired from Union Carbide/Energizer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Randolph County Honor Guard. He was a good hearted man that would give you the shirt off his back. Phillip loved Disney, antique cars, and participated in the Zooland Antique Car Shows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Presnell, Johnny Presnell, and Freddie Presnell. He is survived by his daughter, April Locke and husband Lloyd of Asheboro; sister, Phyllis Presnell Edwards of Asheboro; sister-in-law, Bernice Presnell of Robbins; brothers, Rodney Presnell and Brian Presnell and wife Frankie, all of Asheboro; granddaughter, Mickaela Locke-Bradshaw and husband Ethan of Winston-Salem. Mr. Presnell will lie in repose at Ridge Funeral Home from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
