Phillip Kelly Brooks

hillip Kelly Brooks, 71, of Ramseur NC, formerly of Asheboro NC, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. Phil is survived by his son, Kelly, of Hillsborough NC; daughter, Meredith, of Asheboro N.C.; mother, Audrey, of Asheboro; and his brother, Darrell, of Apex, N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Miller Brooks; and his father, Martin Kelly Brooks. Phil was a very caring, giving and generous man. He loved his family very much, especially his children. He loved watching his children play sports and coaching them along the way. He loved the outdoors and beach, especially the family beach trips to Ocean Isle Beach. He was and always will be a follower of the greatest sports team of all times, the DUKE BLUE DEVILS. We would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at Universal Healthcare for the love and care that was given to our dad for the last seven years. Memorial services will be held at Jordan Memorial UMC in Ramseur NC at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 29, 2013 conducted by Rev. Charles A. Lindquist, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jordan Memorial UMC at 1511 Main Street, Ramseur NC 27316
