Peggy Jean Smith

Mrs. Peggy Jean Zeigler Smith, 70, of Randleman, died Monday, November 8, 2010, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Berean Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Farlow officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Richmond County, NC, Mrs. Smith was born October 3, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Zeigler and Ploma Elizabeth Newell Zeigler. She had worked at Otho's Exterminating for many years and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her hobby. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Crystal Smith Maness and husband, Wayne, of Asheboro, NC, Anita Smith Ross and husband, Greg, of Randleman, NC, Pam Smith Cox and husband, Jeff, of Wilmington, NC; sons, Earl Smith and wife, Sirona, of Randleman, NC, Terry Smith and wife, Lisa, of Randleman, NC; brothers, Jack Zeigler of Florence, SC, Billy Zeigler, of Harrisburg, NC; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Terry and Lisa Smith, 117 Oak Lane, Randleman, NC.
