Mrs. Peggy Ann Williamson Loflin, 68, of Denton, NC, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harold Pope officiating. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Loflin was born July 5, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Lester Williamson and Nell Williamson. She was retired from the Randolph County Sheriff's Department and was also a retired cosmetologist. Her favorite hobby was gardening and her love for flowers and watching them grow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Williamson, and her grandparents, Walser and Sallie Morris. Mrs. Loflin is survived by her of husband of 50 years, Hoyt Loflin, of the home; daughters, Connie Wall and Andy Darnell, of Denton, NC, Kendra Wall and husband, Ken, of Asheboro, NC; son, Cliff Loflin and wife, Melissa, of Denton, NC; grandchildren, Jennifer Loflin and Laura Loflin, both of Denton, NC; brothers, Roy Williamson and Tom Williamson, both of Troy, NC; and her devoted dog companions, Lulu and Little Girl. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. The family would like to give a special thanks to their neighbors, Charlie and Dot Shaw, for all their support.
