Peggy Hill Heath

August 11, 1931 — February 19, 2024

Peggy Hill Heath, 92, of Asheboro, died Monday, February 19, 2024, at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro.


A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024, at South Plainfield Friends Meeting with Rev. Hugh Spaulding and Rev. Annette Martin officiating.


Born on August 11, 1931, in Randolph County, NC; Peggy was the daughter of the late Ivey Whitney Hill and Mary Agnes Stilley Hill. She attended New Market School and graduated from Randleman High School. She graduated from St. Leo's School of Nursing in 1953. Peggy worked at Randolph Hospital, taught nursing with Nann Cummings at Randolph Community College, and then worked with Dr. Caberwal and Dr. Hanspal at Asheboro Urology for over 20 years. Peggy was an active member of South Plainfield Friends. She was also a member of the Master Gardeners and the Asheboro Women's Club. Peggy enjoyed gardening, canning, knitting, painting and her flowers.


In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Heath.


Surviving are her sister, Pearl Hoffman of Asheboro; son, Alan Heath (Debbie Callicutt) of Randleman; daughter, Amy Heath Hogan (Mark) of New Hope; grandson, Treece Hogan (Brittany); and several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at the South Plainfield Friends Meeting.
