Paul York

Paul Willard York, 87, of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Carol Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Paul was born in Danville, VA, on July 16, 1937, the son of the late Levi York and Frances Barden York. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and woodworking. He was an active member at Flag Springs Methodist Church. He taught Sunday school for a time, and was a member of the "Methodist Men" He loved working in the yard and garden.

Paul is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley Auman York of the home; son, Marty York (Melinda) of Coleridge; brother, Johnny R. York of Randleman; grandchildren, Ben of Georgia, Matthew (Litzy) of Ramseur, Sarah (Jon) of Charlotte; great grandchildren, Brielle, Kinsley, Madelyn, Matthew Jr.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
