Paul Wall

Paul Douglas Wall, 71, of Asheboro, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2019, at First Pentecostal Church, 4380 US Hwy 64 East, Asheboro, with Elder S. Dean Staley officiating. Paul was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on June 3, 1948, the son of the late John A. Phillips and Hedy Ruth Wall. Paul moved to New York where he met his wife, Pauline. He was a cyclist and actually rode his bike from New York to North Carolina to see Pauline. Later he moved to Asheboro, NC. He joined First Pentecostal Church and was a faithful member until his death. Paul was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He leaves behind his wife, Pauline Moore Wall, daughters, Samantha Staley, Dawn Moore, Michelle Singletary (Howard); sister, Debbie Wall; grandkids, Kamya Daye, Jalen Austin, Dezmin Austin, Darrius Moore, Shea Maness, Derrick Maness, Tylist Maness, Jasheem Staley, Diamond Staley, Kachelle Simmons; niece, Requil Wall. He also leaves behind several, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host to other family members. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the memorial service at the church.
