Paul D. King

Mr. Paul David King, 84, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, November 2, 2013, at his residence. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Guilford Co. County, NC, Mr. King was born July 14, 1929. He was the son of the late Ervin King and Susie Greene King. He retired from Mid-State Plastics after 21 years of service, loved NASCAR and cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene King, and grandson, Chad King. Mr. King is survived by his daughter, Wanda King Barhorst and husband, Greg, of Gastonia, NC; sons, Donald King and wife, Sandra, Darrell King and wife, Jean, Donnie King, Ronnie King and wife, Lisa, all of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Lena Maness, of Coleridge, NC, Beulah Phillips, of Efland, NC; twin-sister, Pauline Greene, of Seagrove, NC; brother, Clyde King, of Seagrove, NC; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, November 4, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
