Patsy Blue Baker

Mrs. Patsy Greene Blue Baker, 72, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Baker was born May 26, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Grady Greene and Gladys Blackwell Greene. She was a member of Center Cross Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Blue, her second husband, Jay Baker, her brother, Beauford Greene, and her sister, Ellen Brewer. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughters, Pam Jones and husband, Allen, of Asheboro, NC, Debra Caulder and husband, Todd, of Sophia, NC; sister, Norma Jean Auman, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Daniel Joyce, April Jones; and great grandchild, Gabriella Byrd. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Pam Jones. The family is very thankful for the care provided by North Pointe Assisted Living where Mrs. Baker had lived for the last eight years. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
