Ozelma Maness Ozelma Flowers Maness, 87, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Moses officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born July 23, 1930 in Darlington, SC, Mrs. Maness was the daughter of the late Wade and Julia Flowers. She was a member of Foster Street Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Maness worked for 40 years at G.E./Black & Decker. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Maness, Sr.; and her brother, Francis Flowers. Survivors include her daughter, Pam Burrow and husband, Craig of Asheboro; son, Billy Maness, Jr. and wife, Lydia of Troy; sisters, Althea Cashwell of Darlington, SC, Felmet "Marie" Wyatt of Houston, TX, Thalia "Faye" Stephens and husband, Raymond of Darlington, SC; brother, C.W. Flowers of Darlington, SC; grandchildren, Shannon Carte and husband, Brantley of Climax, Ashley Burrow of Asheboro, Charles Craig Burrow, Jr. of Asheboro, Christopher Maness and wife, Sheena of Nashville, TN, Madeline Frye and husband, Josh of Asheboro, Ashton Maness, John Manes; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Key, Brody Lowe, Bryn Ryals, Shelbi Maness and Ashton Maness. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204. The family would like to thank everyone who helped take care of our mother, including the staff at Cross Roads Retirement, Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home and The Randolph Hospice House.
