Oscar Ernest Gibbons Page, Jr., 89, of Asheboro, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2015, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, with Pastor Wayne Eller officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Page was born in Moore County, NC, on October 18, 1925. He was the son of the late Oscar Ernest Gibbons Page, Sr. and Ocia Lessie Davis Page. He was retired from Burlington Industries. He enjoyed gardening, watching football and going to vintage car shows. Mr. Page served in the US Army during WW II. In addition to his parents, Mr. Page was preceded in death by his sister, Nannie Lou Ritter. Surviving are his daughter, Brenda Bryant, of Randleman; sisters, Carrie Peterson, of Archdale, Beatrice Davis, Frances Strider, both of Asheboro; grandchildren, Deeanna Stevens, Jenene Baxter, Charles Trotter, Jr.; great grandsons, Justin Martin, Dylan Leviner, Chason Singletary; and great-great granddaughter, Ava Grace Martin. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, Monday, February 2, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
